Limited time offer, lowest price in Arizona! Welcome to a flight experience for beginners in a training biplane from WWII. You will be exposed to flying in an open cockpit biplane over the McDowall Mountains. The Stearman biplane was used 80 years ago to teach the aviation cadets of WWII, so you will be learning in an authentic piece of history. There are only 2 seats in the plane, one for you and one for me. We'll start with a preflight inspection followed by an explanation of the radios and controls. We can fly smooth and level, or we can add in some more energetic maneuvers for those that desire a more thrilling experience. You will be invited to take the controls as part of the experience. From engine start to return will take approximately 30 minutes although the entire experience last about 1.5 hours. This Copper Mile Trail offers expansive scenery of the Lower Salt River, with a grand view of Red Mountain. On this trail, you'll have a good chance of seeing the wild horses in the area. Your main destination on this trail will lead you to a historic abandoned mine last used in 1947! This Trail's difficulty rating is considered easy to moderately challenging (depending on the route you take). The length of the trail is about a 3-mile loop, with an elevation gain of about 242ft, and it's highest grade being 60%.

This is an off-road trip through Four Peaks Wilderness Area. We will be passing Saguaro Lake and entering sandy rolls of through Pobrecito access point. The remainder of the trip will be spent in the Four Peaks Wilderness area which brings you past many different types of landscapes (Huge Boulders, Giant Cactus, Smooth Rocks and Big Desert Washes). The Trip takes 6 hours depending on road conditions and passenger preferences. Four Peaks is an area of the Tonto National Forest. There is a good chance of seeing desert animals such as: horses, coyotes, javelina, and snakes. The peak is much cooler in temperature than Pheonix. You will need to bring a coat or jacket. In the winter there is a good chance there will be snow on the peaks.
