Chocolate Tour

Destination: Seattle.
Is chocolate a food or a technology? Why does it hold such a special place in cultures around the world? Most importantly: How do YOU like your chocolate? Included in your ticket price are 12 individual tastings. We will visit 8 of Downtown Seattle's most beloved bakeries, restaurants, cafés, and chocolatiers. The tour starts at Dahlia Bakery where you delight in the days fresh bake. We continue through cafés where you experience the "World Tour of drinking chocolates," along with small treats and samples of chocolate. We spend a portion of the tour in an Italian grocer where you sample a selection of some of the best chocolate bars in the world (and from right here in Seattle). The tour ends at a chocolatier's shop known for its elite quality and unique incorporation of flavors, including fruit, honey and booze. You'll leave this tour filled to the brim with chocolatey goodness, but also with a deeper understanding of what chocolate is, what it means, and where it's taking us.

This self-guided walking tour is perfect for last-minute travelers who love chocolate! Travelers will use the eATLAS app for directions on where to go, and what to do–map included. You can start and pause the Adventure whenever it is convenient for you. Chicago was once the “Candy Capital of the World,” and chocolate has been a rich, decadent part of the city’s culinary history longer than deep-dish pizza and Italian beef. Milton Hershey even learned how to make chocolate in Chicago at the 1893 World’s Fair. Some of the world’s most beloved chocolate treats, including Tootsie Rolls, Baby Ruth, Butterfinger, Snickers, 3 Musketeers and Milky Way, were invented or are manufactured here. There are 8 delicious Loop and River North stops on our tour/scavenger hunt. Simply read the clues and follow the directions to guess the answers. Hints are provided if you need help. You won’t be required to buy anything, but if you need a quick pick-me-up, what’s better than chocolate?

You will enjoy a behind the scenes look at how this local award-winning chocolate maker creates their incredibly savory product. You’ll learn about how various beans from different regions of the world help make these chocolates and experience how the process works. Perhaps the highlight will be forming your own chocolate bar into a mold that will be packaged to take home with you. At the end, everyone will enjoy some wine or hot chocolate along with tasting their various samples. If you choose to purchase some chocolate bars, we have arranged special wholesale pricing for you.

Calling all chocoholics! Let us romance your senses on a Harvard Square, Cambridge Chocolate Tour! Join us for a delectable adventure through historical Harvard Square. You'll hear interesting stories about the Square, learn fun facts about chocolate, and sample the best and most interesting chocolaty treats around. Located right outside of Boston in Cambridge on the Red Line MBTA Train Stop, Harvard Square is home to Harvard University and also has a flourishing food scene with some of the best and most unique food in the city.  Each tour is a fun 90 minutes and includes 4 stops with plenty of treats and less than a mile of walking. We can't wait to take you on a unique, chocolate adventure!

Destination: Portland.
Come breakfast with us! Delve into three of Portland’s most acclaimed drinks and morsels. On this two hour tour you will experience Portland's coffee culture, our iconic artisanal donuts, and deliciously crafted chocolates. The perfect way to start any vacation in the Rose City. Our guides will share with you Portland's history in the third wave coffee movement, while leading you on a 1.5 mile walk through Portland's downtown. Embrace fantastic donut creations in entirely new flavor combinations as you learn about the origins of the donut and how it became a Stumptown staple. Finally we will visit chocolate makers, were we will learn more about chocolate varietals and their unique flavor profiles.
